The 2015 Wallace Saint Christopher Sterling Ornament is the 5th edition in "The Saints Series" introduced by Wallace in 2011. Ornaments in the series are made of sterling silver and feature a different Saint each year. The 2015 ornament features Saint Christopher, a martyr who died under Decius in the third century. There are many legends about him, including one in which he carried a child across a river. When Christopher put the child on his shoulders he found the child was unbelievably heavy. The child was said to be Christ, carrying the weight of the world. He is the patron saint of travelers. The 2015 Wallace Saint Christopher Sterling Ornament is beautifully handcrafted by skilled silversmiths in the USA. Original factory gift box, brochure, protective velvet pouch, and ribbon are all included. The ornament is marked Wallace Sterling 2015 on the bottom, is two-sided, and measures 4" High.
