This year, the design on the Bing & Grondahl Christmas Plate entitled “Christmas Night” depicts a beautifully decorated Christmas tree in a stately flat in Copenhagen. The splendid Christmas tree is traditionally decorated with filled paper cones, braided hearts, and candles. At the top, the star sparkles in the light from the lampposts on the street. The little dog warms itself in front of the roaring fireplace, waiting patiently in its wicker basket. Each plate is embossed on porcelain, hand painted in cobalt blue and then glazed. The 2022 Bing & Grondahl Annual Christmas Plate is in its 128th edition and has been designed by the Danish artist Dag Samsund. Measures 7” in diameter and includes gift box and brochure.
