The 2024 Belleek Annual Keenaghan Cottage Ornament has been inspired by The Keenaghan Cottage which means ‘ a mossy place’ is one of the most unique holiday cottages in Ireland. An original 1800's thatched lakeside cottage, it is situated just outside the village of Belleek in County Fermanagh. On the other side of the small Lake lies the ruins of Keenaghan Abbey which was an important part of the Caldwell Estate and part of the Ancient kingdom of Miodbholg, now known as Mulleek. The Caldwell Estate was inherited by John Caldwell Bloomfield where the famous story of Belleek Pottery began. Hand painted. The ornament makes a great gift, includes original factory gift box and measures 1.5" high. Fine Parian China, Hand painted details. Made by Belleek in Ireland. The ornament is not dated.
