The 2024 Royal Copenhagen Annual Plate is in its 117th edition and has been designed by the Danish artist Allan Therkelsen. The joy of anticipation and the feeling of butterflies in the stomach are the epitome of every child’s Christmas. In this year’s plate a little boy and his best friend, the family dog, have snuck out of bed and watch while the parents decorate the Christmas tree. The relief for the “Christmas Anticipation” motif has been hand-cut by Royal Copenhagen’s talented modelling artists and hand painted in cobalt blue underglaze. The porcelain plate measures 7” in diameter and includes Royal Copenhagen gift box and brochure with certificate of authenticity.
