American Heritage
In 1972 Gorham Silversmiths began making ornaments for the American Heritage Foundation. These ornaments were replicas of historic weather vanes and from there the series moved to assorted designs. Gorham continued to manufacture the ornaments through 1990, with the exception of the 1981 ornament in which Kirk Stieff manufactured. In 1991 the New England Sterling Company assumed the manufacture of the series. A new sterling ornament was issued every year from 1972 to 1998.
