Rebecca Dykstra Sterling

Working in both Boston and San Francisco, Rebecca Dykstra spent over twenty-five years in the antiques and fine arts profession, having lectured extensively on historical styles in the decorative arts. She began training in foundry practices and sculpture at the College of Marin in Kentfield, California, later pursuing independent studies in sculpture at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and the Massachusetts College of Art. By completing her studies with specialized training at the Revere Academy of Jewelry Arts in San Francisco, she merged casting and metalworking experience with the unique demands of working in miniature. Rebecca credits the appeal of her creations to her passion for great design of the past combined with her artistic skills to form treasures for today that will become the heirlooms of tomorrow.
